Resumen

En un fenomeno complejo como es la drogodependencia, no cabe duda de que los aspectos afectivos y emocionales deben tener su participacion. Sin embargo son escasos los trabajos que sobre estos aspectos emocionales existen, sobre todo si nos centramos en estimulos afectivos cotidianos, no relacionados con el consumo. En este trabajo se analiza si el consumo de drogas provoca cambios en la respuesta emocional ante potentes estimulos naturales incondicionados, como son los estimulos sexuales. Para ello se han utilizado imagenes del I.A.P.S. con contenido explicitamente erotico y se han presentado a 84 varones adictos a drogas, separados en grupos segun la sustancia de consumo preferente y se han comparado entre ellos y tambien con los valores obtenidos por sujetos no consumidores. Los resultados indican que los adictos a drogas responden con menor activacion y mayor percepcion de control, ante los estimulos visuales de contenido erotico, que los no consumidores y tambien dentro del grupo de consumidores existen diferencias en funcion de la sustancia de consumo preferente.
In a phenomenon as complex as drug dependence there is no doubt that affective and emotional aspects are involved. However, there has been little research to date on these emotional aspects, especially in specific relation to everyday affective stimuli, unrelated to drug use. In this work we investigate whether the consumption of narcotic substances causes changes in the emotional response to powerful unconditional natural stimuli, such as those of a sexual nature. To this end, I.A.P.S. images with explicit erotic content were shown to 84 drug-dependent males, in separate groups according to preferred substance. These groups’ results were compared with each other and with the values obtained by non-consumers. The results indicate that drug abusers respond differently to visual stimuli with erotic content compared to non-consumers, and that there are also differences in response among consumers according to preferred substance.
