Validación de la Escala de Adicción al Entrenamiento (EAE) en atletas veteranos

Resumen


Los instrumentos de medición para las adicciones comportamentales tienden a no resultar generalizables a otras dependencias. Se pretende llevar a cabo un proceso de adaptación de la Escala de Adicción General (EAG) (Ramos, Sansebastián y Madoz, 2001), para valorar la dependencia al ejercicio. Dicha prueba presenta un carácter monodimensional y autoaplicado capaz de medir el grado de adicción de un sujeto a todo tipo de nuevas adicciones, excluyendo las sustancias ilícitas de abuso. La escala, tras su adaptación pasó a denominarse como Escala de Adicción al Entrenamiento (EAE). Han tomado parte 401 atletas de los que el 82.29% son hombres y el conjunto de la muestra indicaba una edad con M=45.78 y una DT=10.25 años. El análisis factorial confirmatorio ha permitido discriminar un factor general y cuatro sub-escalas, siendo el alfa de Cronbach obtenido para cada una de las sub-escalas de: Tolerancia (α=.78), Placer-relajación (α=.77), Carencia de Control (α=.77) y Abstinencia-Ansia (α=.71). Los índices de asimetría y curtosis han sido próximos a cero y <2.0. Los ítems no han mostrado solapamiento entre las subescalas. El modelo presenta valores correctos que permiten determinar una aceptable bondad de ajuste del modelo original ya que los resultados fueron: χ2 /gl=2.93; IFI=.96; CFI=.96; TLI=.93; SRMR=.039; RMSEA=.049.
