Test para la identificación de transtornos por uso de alcohol (AUDIT): Traducción y validación del AUDIT al catalán y castellano

Resumen

OBJETIVO: Validar el cuestionario AUDIT (en catalán y castellano) para la detección precoz de consumos de riesgo y transtornos relacionados con el alcohol en la Atención Primaria. METODO: 409 sujetos realizaron una exploración completa: AUDIT, criterios DSM-III-R y parámetros de laboratorio. RESULTADOS: No se encontraron diferencias significativas entre la versión catalana y la española, pero sí entre la población femenina y masculina. Para la detección de consumos de riesgo el 9 resultó ser el mejor punto de corte en la población masculina pero no se pudo hallar un punto de corte adecuado en la población femenina. En la detección del SDA, resultó un punto de corte de 10 en el caso de los hombres, y de 10 u 11 indistintamente en el de las mujeres. CONCLUSIÓN: El AUDIT resultó ser un buen instrumento en la detección de consumos de riesgo y de SDA. Sin embargo, algunos detalles, como la ausencia de punto de corte en el sexo femenino para consumos de riesgo, aconsejan seguir la investigación.
