Confronted to the need to undertake epidemiological studies on drug consumption overcoming the deficiencies and high costs of conventional methodologies, RUMBOS and the National Comission for Reseach on Drugs of Colombia, invited the youngsters between 10 to 24 years of age to participate in a national survey composed of seven questions. In this way more than 305.000 questionnaires were answered. The richness of the data convinced the researchers of the convenience of conducting a logistic regression analysis; the results of such analysis are presented here, and the usefulness of submitting simple statistical information to highly sophisticated methods is highlighted.References
